BIOGRAPHY

Learn more about the artist's life and work

"My artistic practice is closely tied to oil painting, a technique that allows me to explore the richness of colours and create complex, sophisticated textures. I have deliberately chosen to work with a palette knife, a tool that gives me a singular freedom in applying paint, allowing me to achieve expressive, dynamic effects, with a thickness and depth that could not be achieved with brushes alone.

My studio, located in my home, is the space where I feel completely immersed in the creative process. It is an environment that fosters tranquillity and concentration.

To keep my mind focused and in tune with my art, I often work to the sound of mantras. This ritual helps me establish a deep connection with my creativity, keeping me in a state of serenity and balance, aspects I consider essential to the fluidity of the artistic process.

In three decades of active painting, I have held around forty solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group shows. My works are held by private and public collectors, both in Portugal and abroad, namely in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, France and Spain."
